Biography

Aidan Wills is a barrister at Matrix Chambers who specialises in public law, human rights, data protection and media law. He is regularly instructed in both public and private law cases concerning the collection, exploitation and dissemination of data by the police, as well as in matters concerning disclosure and barring. Aidan has been involved in a number of leading cases on the use of data by law enforcement and intelligence services, including R(Bridges) v South Wales Police (on live facial recognition) and Bureau of Investigative Journalism v UK (on the UK’s bulk surveillance regimes).
