In partnership the Philosophy of Education Society of Great Britain (PESGB), this series publishes books at the forefront of philosophical inquiry into education, in institutions and as a dimension of life as a whole, and embraces a wide variety of philosophical traditions. They vary from examinations of fundamental philosophical issues in their connection with education, to detailed critical engagement with current educational practice or policy from a philosophical point of view. The series promotes rigorous thinking on educational matters and identifies and critiques the ideological forces shaping education. The ethical, political, aesthetic and epistemological dimensions of educational theory are amongst those covered.
